Privacy policy
Draft. This text is not final. Last updated:
Listoora is a list app. We store as little as we can, and only to make the app work. We never sell your data, show ads or track you across other apps and websites.
Who is responsible
Listoora is responsible for the data described here. Write to hi@listoora.com about anything on this page.
What we store
- An anonymous account. The first time you open the app, it makes an account without a name or email. It only has a random id, so your lists can be saved and synced.
- Your lists. The name, icon and color of each list, the items and their checklists, and who added or checked off an item and when. This is needed to sync lists between phones and to show who did what in a shared list.
- Sign-in with Google or Apple, if you choose it. We get the email address, the name and the profile picture the provider gives us. With Apple you can hide your email. You can change your name in the app.
- Your language choice, so the app uses it on every phone you sign in on.
- Shared lists. When you join a list, the other members see your name, your profile picture and what you add and check off.
- Usage during the beta. A few events without content: the app was opened, a list was shared, a share link was opened, someone joined a list. Each event has your account id and a time. We use them to learn whether the app is useful. We never store what your lists say in them.
What stays on your phone
Reminders, and the switches for sound, vibration and confetti, are stored only on your phone and are never sent to us. Reminders are local notifications from the phone itself.
Where the data is stored
Your lists are stored on your phone and on our servers in the EU, so they work offline and sync when you are online. We use these services to run Listoora:
- Supabase (EU): the database and sign-in.
- PowerSync (EU): syncing between the phone and the database.
- Google and Apple: only if you sign in with them.
- Cloudflare: hosts this website and the pages for shared links.
Why we may use it
We use your data to give you the service you asked for: your lists, syncing and sharing. We use the beta events because we have a legitimate interest in knowing whether the app works for the people who use it.
How long we keep it
- Anonymous accounts that have not been used for 30 days are deleted, with their lists.
- A deleted item or list is kept for 30 days so it can be restored, and is then deleted for good.
- When you delete your account, everything about you is deleted. See Delete account.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and you can delete your account in the app at any time. Write to hi@listoora.com. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change matters for you, we also tell you in the app.
